The KIA Soul Electric Model Announced

During a drive event for the new re-designed 2014 Soul, Kia announced today that coming next year will be an all Electrified Version of the popular city car.

This version of the Soul will be a first all-electric vehicle in the Kia line-up.  Currently the Optima hybrid is the only electrified vehicle.  Kia stated the new 2014 Soul’s EV model would have some additional exterior tweaks to improve aerodynamics and have differences you will be able to identify the Soul electric model from the rest.

Kia called the electric Soul, “a natural extension of the Soul’s urban-friendly place in the brand’s lineup of vehicles.” And they stated that “Eco-consciousness already comes standard on the all-new Soul with 85-percent of its materials able to be recycled at the end of its lifespan, and the Soul EV will further demonstrate Kia’s engineering capabilities as well as our commitment to producing vehicle with reduced environmental footprints.”
